In January 2013 Jane Elizabeth Bennett awarded a three-month residency in Martin, Slovakia. During this time she taught Printmaking and English at the Súkromná stredná umelecká škola Martin. She also worked in the Archives of Turčianska Galéria developing copy and devising artist statements for translation.
During this time Bennett developed a photographic and animated archive of her life between places. Most of the archive is taken in darkness due to the time of year and weather conditions in the high Tatra mountains. During her residency, Bennett travelled the region alone documenting her experiences.
