Blind Spot – ‘Coming together to reflect on works by, and for, women practitioners and thinkers.’
I am so pleased to be giving an informal presentation with my colleague, collaborator and friend; photographer, Jo Garrett. Blind Spot is a new monthly space for individuals to come together and reflect on the work of women practitioners.
We invite you to join us for the informal presentation in the Victoria Building VB005 on the University of Central Lancashire’s main campus from 17:00 on Wednesday 4th March.
‘Blind Spot’ is a place where individuals meet to explore the work of female practitioners. Through this monthly series of talks, presentations and exhibitions there is an aim to network women and build awareness of female-driven projects.
Everyone is welcome to attend, and we encourage anyone with an interest in the arts, collaboration and female-driven projects to come along. Blind Spot aims to provide a supportive space for women but in no way is it gender exclusive.
Experimental photographer Jo Garrett and I will be speaking about our ongoing collaboration; where we fuse experimental darkroom photography and fine art printmaking. We will be discussing;
- How our collaboration has evolved.
- How we have developed a collaborative approach.
- Why it is important for us to collaborate with women.
For more information on our collaborations take a look at some previous projects.
